Fear.....it comes in many forms for us and has different levels of emotion and meanings attached to it.

noun; an unpleasant emotion caused by the belief that someone or something is dangerous, likely to cause pain, or a threat."he is prey to irrational fears"


verb; be afraid of (someone or something) as likely to be dangerous, painful, or threatening."farmers fear that they will lose business"




Fear.... what does that mean to you? For most of my life I have had some sort sense of fear lingering somewhere in the shadows of my existence! I have learned many coping skills to cover up, put up with, completely ignore the emotion, in order to survive!


Meaning, each day I would put on my mask of "normalcy" and continue on as if nothing was wrong. I tamped and pushed that emotion deep into my soul, to embarrassed to show it or even feel it!


Sometimes, it would completely consume me and honestly don't know how I managed to get thru some days!


Fear has held me back from speaking my mind. Rob me of confidence, self image, friends, saying no, people pleasing, feeling guilty, standing up for myself, employment, and happiness!


Fear has held me back from starting this blog for many years. For why, I was afraid of rejection. People don't want to hear what I have to say or do! Or what if they laugh or insult my posts? Would I be able to handle the negative/positive attention?


Only recently, after a brief battle of illness that I discovered life is way to short to "live in fear"! Fear takes so much of my time, energy and soul!! I'm tired, so tired of "putting up and shutting up" mentality that was instilled in me from a early age.


I know I will continue to struggle living with "fear" issues but I'm going to give myself alot of time and energy into healing myself and forgive my past mistakes and continue to move forward in life!


If you are struggling, reach out to someone or me! Surround yourself with information, educate yourself, never stop learning, give yourself grace, be kind to yourself and body, be selfish to your soul, protect your mind from negative and most of all fall head over heels in love with yourself!!
